The Notarization Process

Our notarization process is straightforward and efficient:

  2. Prepare your documents - Bring your unsigned documents to the appointment.
  3. Bring valid identification - You must present a government-issued photo ID.
  4. Sign in the presence of the notary - The notary will witness your signature.
  5. The notary completes the process - The notary will complete the notarial certificate, apply their seal, and sign the document.

Types of Notarial Acts

We perform several types of notarial acts, including:

Acknowledgments

The signer acknowledges that they signed the document willingly and for the purposes stated. The signer must personally appear before the notary and be positively identified.

Jurats (Oaths/Affirmations)

The signer takes an oath or affirmation that the contents of the document are true. The document must be signed in the presence of the notary after the oath is administered.

Certified Copies

For certain documents, a notary can certify that a copy is a true and correct copy of the original document (restrictions apply based on state law).

Signature Witnessing

The notary witnesses the signing of a document and verifies the identity of the signer, but no oath or acknowledgment is required.

Pricing

Our standard notarization fee is $15 per signature/seal, which is in line with Indiana state guidelines. For mobile services, there is an additional travel fee of $25 within 20 miles of our location, with additional fees for greater distances.
